A digital product is not sold just because people comment “send.” The sale happens after they understand what is inside, decide the price makes sense, pay successfully and receive the promised file or access. Build that short journey before asking for attention.
Choose a product that answers one repeat question
Look through comments, DMs and customer calls for a question that recurs. A food creator might offer a week of high-protein vegetarian recipes with a shopping list. A photographer might sell a client-shot planning template. Do not start with a huge course because it sounds more impressive. The first-product guide explains how to cut scope until the promise is deliverable.
Write the promise as an observable outcome: “Plan five weekday dinners with one shopping list.” Then list exactly what is included, format, language, update policy and any requirements. Show a real sample page or preview. Avoid invented testimonials or income claims.
Build a payable destination
The product page should answer: what will I get, what will I be able to do, who is it for, how much does it cost, how is it delivered, and what is the refund or support route? Use the checkout you can actually operate. Test the payment and post-purchase delivery with a permitted test transaction before publishing the Reel. A broken delivery turns search or social traffic into support work.
Connect content to the offer
Make a free post that solves a small part of the problem. For the recipe pack, show one full dinner idea, then explain that the paid pack contains a complete week and shopping list. A useful CTA is: “Comment PLAN if you want to see the full pack and price.” The DM should link to the product page and identify the resource; do not imply a free download if the page asks for payment.
If the creator uses automation, the person's comment must be a clear request and the tool must be tested end-to-end. Count comment requests, delivered messages, page visits and completed orders separately. People who asked for details and chose not to buy still received a useful answer. Do not flood them with pressure follow-ups.
Review what the first buyers teach you
Ask buyers whether the file opened, whether any instruction was confusing and what they expected that was not included. Fix the page or product when the same misunderstanding repeats. Track refunds and support questions alongside revenue. If many people click but few buy, inspect the offer and checkout before making more promotional Reels.
The goal of the first launch is a product that works for real buyers, not a screenshot of comment volume.
