Will Creator Lane stay free?

Yes — comment-to-DM and the core automation tools are free forever for individual creators. We've committed to that publicly. If we ever need to add a paid tier, it will be for new tools we build later (team seats, advanced creative tools, brand-side features), not by paywalling something you already use.

Are there DM caps or hidden limits?

No monthly DM cap. No contact-based pricing. No watermark on outgoing DMs. Rate limiting exists — but it's Instagram's rate limit, not ours, and we pace deliveries inside it so every commenter gets their DM. The same limit applies whether you're paying ManyChat $145/mo or paying us $0.

Do I need a credit card to sign up?

No. Sign in with Facebook OAuth, pick your Instagram Business or Creator account, and you're live. We never ask for payment info to use the comment-to-DM core.

What's the business model, then?

Two real revenue lines, both downstream of the free product: (1) the brand-deals marketplace — when paid sponsorships flow through Creator Lane via Meta's Branded Content API, we take a small cut of the payout. (2) Optional paid tiers later for teams, agencies, and advanced creative tools we haven't built yet. Neither one paywalls the comment-to-DM you use today.

Why not freemium with a low DM cap?

Because that's the playbook ManyChat runs and it punishes the people we exist for. A creator's first viral reel is when comment-to-DM matters most — it's also the moment a free-tier cap silently throttles them. We'd rather earn money where it doesn't get in your way: on brand-deal payouts and on tools you actively choose to add later.

Is the free version watermarked or branded in the DM?

No. DMs go out as if you typed them. No 'Sent via Creator Lane' footer at any tier — that's policy, not a paywall. ManyChat's free tier adds a 'Sent via ManyChat' footer; ours never does.

What if you get acquired or run out of money?

Honest answer: every SaaS faces that risk. We minimize it by (a) running on Meta's official Graph API so your data stays on Instagram, not locked in our database, (b) keeping the core lean enough that the free tier is sustainable, and (c) building the brand-deals marketplace as the long-term revenue engine. If we ever wound down, your automations and audience live on Instagram — you wouldn't be locked in.
