Turn a video idea into a clear shot brief

Describe what must stay consistent, then plan up to six shots. Copy a readable prompt or download a structured JSON brief. This builder does not generate video or spend credits.

Write the brief before generating

This is a structured writing tool, not an AI video generator. No model calls, accounts or media uploads. Replace the fictional example; inputs are not submitted or stored by this builder.

One useful outcome, not just a visual style.

Describe the real reference and important identity or product details.

Describe the files you will supply to your chosen tool. Do not paste private URLs or credentials.

Where the action happens and what belongs in the frame.

Choose a consistent, achievable look.

Separate voiceover from on-screen dialogue. Native audio support varies by tool.

Product facts, people, text, logos, claims and source permissions.

Plan the shots

Use 1–6 shots of 0.5–30 seconds each. These are builder limits, not a claim about your selected model. Generate separately unless the chosen mode supports a sequence.

How to use the builder

Start with one thing the viewer should understand. Describe the subject once, including the details that matter: a face, clothing, product shape, controls or colours. Write reference instructions that point to files you have permission to use. This page does not upload those files; you supply them later in your chosen video tool.

Give each shot one visible action, a camera instruction and a duration. The fictional lamp example starts wide to explain size, shows a control, then returns to a complete view. Three four-second shots make a 12-second brief. That is a planning duration, not a promise that every model supports four-second clips or will follow the sequence.

Use the audio field for exact speech or a separate voiceover plan. Keep later captions in the editing stage when generated text would risk misspellings or false product claims. In constraints, say what must not change, what must not be invented and which facts need a human check.

Should I export plain text or JSON?

Plain text is easiest to review and adapt in a chat or prompting interface. JSON is useful for keeping a reusable brief, handing it to a collaborator or processing it in your own workflow. The JSON uses Creator Lane’s brief schema. It is not a provider API request, and putting a prompt in JSON does not automatically improve model quality.

Read the output before pasting it anywhere. A tool may need separate start-frame uploads, specific duration options, a dedicated negative-prompt field or different audio controls. Map the brief to those controls rather than assuming it can accept this entire document unchanged.

Generate one shot or the whole sequence?

Default to one shot at a time unless the selected mode explicitly supports a multi-shot sequence. Keep the same permitted references and shared subject description, then vary only the shot action and camera. Review the first result before repeating the batch. Prompt wording cannot guarantee consistent faces, products or physical motion.

Before paying, check the available aspect ratios, clip lengths, reference inputs, audio features, credit cost and commercial-use terms. A “9:16” instruction alone does not set the export dimensions in every app. Our Kling versus Veo guide explains how to compare supported modes without treating a model name as a complete specification.

A quick approval checklist

  • The subject and product details match the references.
  • The viewer can understand the intended point without a misleading claim.
  • Speech, pronunciation, captions and audio rights have been checked.
  • The final crop, safe text position and export work on the destination screen.
  • No private material or unapproved person’s likeness has been sent to a third-party generator.

Your entries stay on this page and are not submitted to an AI service by the builder. Copy or download the result before closing the page; it does not save drafts. Never put credentials or private client links in a prompt.

A clear brief is the start, not proof the output is correct.

Check identity, product details, audio, permissions and the export before publishing. Test one shot before paying for a full sequence.
