Stan Store, explained — pricing, features & the India reality check

The fair answer for Indian creators — not a hit piece, not an affiliate review.

6 min read

The one-line answer

Stan Store is an all-in-one creator storefront: a link-in-bio page that sells digital products, courses, memberships, and bookings, with checkout built in. It solves the same problem Creator Lane and SuperProfile solve — replacing the Linktree + Gumroad + Calendly + payment-gateway duct-tape stack with one account — and it’s the paid market leader in that category, anchored in the US creator economy.

What it does well

  • The storefront is mature. Stan has been at this for years — the store, checkout, and product pages are polished and conversion-tuned. You’re not beta-testing anything.
  • Course hosting is built in, today. Video lessons, modules, drip — shipped and stable. This is Stan’s clearest edge over tools where courses are still on the roadmap (Creator Lane’s course hosting ships Q3 2026).
  • Community and memberships are native. A paid membership tier lives in the same account as the store — no third-party community platform to bolt on.
  • Bookings are included. Appointment scheduling for 1:1 calls sits in the same bundle, so the calendar piece doesn’t need a separate tool.

Where it’s weak — especially from India

  • USD pricing, no free tier. $29/month is $348 a year before you’ve sold anything, and Pro is $99/month. Stan prices against US creator income. If you earn in rupees, the subscription is a fixed USD cost that doesn’t flex with your market — compare India-native flat pricing like Creator Lane Pro at ₹1,500/year, or free-to-start models.
  • No Instagram automation layer. Stan does not auto-DM commenters — it isn’t a Meta Tech Provider, and the Instagram side of your funnel sits entirely outside its stack. The standard Stan setup adds ManyChat (from $15/month) for comment-to-DM, taking the real bundle cost to $44+/month.
  • No AI assistant integration. There’s no MCP server or native AI connection today — you can’t ask Claude which product or reel is converting from your Stan data.
  • Built for a different market. Nothing about Stan is India-first: the pricing page, the checkout assumptions, and the creator playbooks all target US-style creator businesses. It works globally, but Indian creators are not who it’s optimized for.

Stan Store pricing (as of mid-2026)

Stan’s public pricing (May 2026) is subscription-only, in USD:

  • Creator — $29/month. The storefront, digital products, courses, bookings, and memberships.
  • Pro — $99/month. Adds advanced funnel and marketing features on top.

Unlike SuperProfile, Stan doesn’t take a percentage platform fee on your sales — its price is the flat subscription (plus standard payment-processing charges). The math question for an Indian creator is simpler and blunter: is the storefront worth $348 a year in fixed USD cost before your first sale? For an established course business, maybe yes. For a creator selling ₹299 guides, that’s a lot of guides before break-even.

When Stan Store is the better pick

Honestly: if hosted courses or a native membership community are mission-critical for you today, Stan does both well right now, and Creator Lane doesn’t until Q3 2026. And if your audience pays you in USD — a global or US-heavy following — then Stan’s pricing is proportionate to your revenue and the India objections above mostly don’t apply. Established course creators with USD income are Stan’s home turf; it earns its $29 there.

When you might want something different

If your funnel starts on Instagram and your buyers pay in rupees, the Stan setup fights you twice: a fixed $348/year cost against INR income, and no comment-to-DM layer without adding ManyChat on top. For selling ebooks, templates, presets, and 1:1 calls to an Indian audience, an India-first stack — INR/UPI checkout, flat local pricing, automation included — does the same job at a fraction of the fixed cost.

Where Creator Lane fits — and where it doesn’t

Creator Lane covers the same bundle shape — link-in-bio storefront, digital products, 1:1 bookings, email capture — free to start, with Pro a flat ₹1,500/year and 0% commission on sales. On top of the store, it runs the piece Stan skips entirely: comment-to-DM automation on the official Instagram Graph API, so the reel itself sells the product. What we don’t have yet: hosted courses and community — both shipping Q3 2026 (courses waitlist, community waitlist). If you need those today, Stan or SuperProfile is the honest recommendation.

Frequently asked questions

Is Stan Store free?

No. Stan Store is a paid subscription — the Creator plan is $29/month and Pro is $99/month (Stan's public pricing, May 2026). There is no free-forever tier. What you get for the subscription is a mature all-in-one storefront: link-in-bio, digital products with checkout, course hosting, community/memberships, and bookings.

How much does Stan Store cost in India?

Stan's public pricing is in USD: $29/month for Creator ($348 a year) and $99/month for Pro. For an Indian creator earning in rupees, that's the key friction — you pay a US-market subscription regardless of what your audience pays you. India-native flat plans (Creator Lane Pro is ₹1,500 a year) or Indian bundles like SuperProfile are priced against Indian creator income instead.

Does Stan Store do comment-to-DM automation?

No. Stan does not auto-DM people who comment on your posts — it's a storefront, not an Instagram automation tool, and it isn't a Meta Tech Provider. Stan users who want the comment-to-DM funnel typically pair Stan with ManyChat (from $15/month) or a similar tool, which adds another subscription on top of the $29.

What does Stan Store do better than the alternatives?

Course hosting and community/memberships are built in and mature — shipped and battle-tested today, not on a roadmap. The storefront itself is polished, and the product has a large creator base, mostly in the US market. If you sell courses to a USD-paying audience, Stan is a strong pick.

What's the best Stan Store alternative for Indian creators?

Depends what you sell. For digital products, bookings, and the Instagram funnel: Creator Lane — free to start, Pro a flat ₹1,500/year, 0% commission, INR/UPI checkout, with comment-to-DM built in (which Stan doesn't have at any price). For hosted courses and community today: SuperProfile, if you accept its 10%/5% platform-fee model.
