Guide: https://creatorlanehq.com/blog/instagram-carousels-with-claude-ai
This is an editorial worksheet, not a record of a live model test or a promise
of reach, time savings or sales. Replace every bracketed field before use.
Do not paste private customer messages, passwords or confidential data into AI.
1. PREPARE THE BRIEF
Topic: [ONE TASK OR QUESTION]
Audience: [WHO THEY ARE AND WHAT THEY ALREADY KNOW]
Outcome: [WHAT THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO]
Voice: [TONE AND TWO SHORT SAMPLES OF YOUR OWN WRITING]
Evidence: [YOUR PROCESS AND VERIFIED SOURCE NOTES; INCLUDE RELEVANT DATES]
Final action: [ONE ACTION]
Resource: [A REAL FILE OR LINK YOU CAN DELIVER, OR NONE]
2. DRAFT IN CLAUDE
Write an Instagram carousel using my brief and source notes below.
[PASTE YOUR COMPLETED BRIEF]
[PASTE YOUR NOTES AND RELEVANT SOURCE EXCERPTS]
Use only supported facts. Do not invent statistics, personal experiences,
testimonials, prices, results or a resource. Ask if evidence is missing.
Return exactly 10 numbered lines, starting "1. " through "10. ".
Each line contains all the text for one slide. No nested bullet points.
Slide 1: name the task or problem; editorial target of 60 characters maximum.
Slide 2: explain why someone would use this process.
Slides 3-8: six concrete steps in a useful order, one idea per slide.
Slide 9: recap as a compact checklist.
Slide 10: the single action from my brief; target of 80 characters maximum.
Slides 2-9: target of 180 characters maximum per slide, including spaces.
Use plain English. Return no caption, preamble or design instructions.
These counts are writing targets, not Instagram limits. I will check them.
3. REVISE SELECTED SLIDES
Revise only slides [NUMBERS].
Problems: [SLIDE NUMBER AND WHAT IS UNCLEAR, UNSUPPORTED OR TOO LONG]
Keep approved facts, audience, voice and final action unchanged.
Do not add new claims. Return the changed lines with their original numbers.
Then flag any fact I still need to verify.
4. PREPARE FOR DESIGN
Open https://creatorlanehq.com/tools/instagram-carousel-text-splitter
Paste the ten numbered lines into Long-form text.
Select Listicle, 10 slides and a 180-character target.
Check the ten resulting cards, the cover's 60-character target and final
slide's 80-character target. Other inputs may merge or rebalance the slides.
Copy each card or use Copy all slides, then paste into your design editor.
The splitter does not produce images or export CSV. Review your image exports.
5. WRITE THE CAPTION AFTER APPROVING THE SLIDES
Write a caption for my approved carousel.
Use two short paragraphs with a target of 600 characters total.
Add context rather than repeating the slides.
End with the same action and resource as the final slide.
Do not add statistics, scarcity, testimonials, promises or hashtags.
Return only the caption. I will review it before publishing.
6. PUBLISHING CHECKLIST
[ ] Every factual claim traces to my notes or an opened source.
[ ] No invented first-person stories, results, urgency or claims of testing.
[ ] Each slide adds something useful and fulfills the cover's promise.
[ ] Text is readable at phone size and image order is correct.
[ ] Caption, slide, keyword and promised resource match.
[ ] Any shared resource opens without my login and contains no private notes.
[ ] If using comment-to-DM, I have configured and checked the campaign.
[ ] I will record comments, sent DMs, clicks and purchases separately.
